TECHNO METAL POST uses "helical
piles" which are steel posts (piles)
with a screw shaped tip (helix) drilled
into the ground to provide a permanent
or temporary foundation for your
project. A specially designed
machine is used to drill the post into
the ground.
When do we stop drilling?
The torque required to drill the piles into the ground is
constantly monitored and through
engineered calculations the torque is
converted to a bearing capacity for the
pile. As a second safety feature
each pile is tested before any load is
applied.
How much weight can it hold?
The most commonly used piles can carry loads of 9600 lbs up to
23,000 lbs per pile. We can also
install piles capable of carrying loads
of up to 66,000 lbs per pile. Each
pile installed carries a safety factor
of 2.
What sizes are there?
Our piles come in 3 lengths: 5 ft, 7 ft, and 10.5 ft long; and
range in size from 1 7/8" to 4" and
greater. The helix sizes range
from 6" to 36" in diameter. As
certified installers we will determine
the length of pile, size of pile and
helix and number of helices required for
your project based on the soil
conditions and bearing capacity
required.
How long has Techno Metal Post been
operating?
TECHNO METAL POST has an international reach as far as Europe and
throughout North America with over
300,000 piles installed. We have
been operating in Ontario for more than
8 years. We are fully insured.
